A visa is not required for a stay of up to 30 days

The Bolivian authorities require that the passport presented is still valid for 6 months from the date of entry into Bolivia. An entry stamp is affixed to the passport upon arrival in the country, which is valid for a stay of 30 days. This authorisation can be extended free of charge to 90 days by the immigration services (in La Paz: Avenida Camacho, 1433 - see "Useful contacts").
Travellers should request this stamp as soon as they enter Bolivian territory, even by land. Otherwise, they will not be able to leave the country without having their situation regularised and having paid a fine of 20 bolivianos per day of overstay.
